This world famous glacier is a trekker’s paradise, as it is easier to visit than most other glaciers. This glacier is situated between snowcapped NANDA DEVI and Nandakot mountains. The river Pindar originates from this glacier. The glacier is The entire trekking tour route is beautiful and very scenic. The Pindari Glacier Trek commences from Loharkhet at 1,760 meters and heads to Dhakuri at 2,680 meters, which is approximately 10 kilometers of trek and it takes round about 5-6 hours. It cuts through several untamed streams and the boulder ridden track moves through a thick forest that is strewed with varied species of Himalayan plants and trees. The track from Dhakuri then leads off at Khati at 2,210 meters passing through a vast forest of rhododendron and from there it paces along the River Pindar to Dwali at 2,575 meters. The route from Dwali splits to Phurkia and winds up at Pindari Glacier, which is the Zero Point. There is a beautiful waterfall just before Phurkia where you can rest for a while. Phurkia is a picturesque place blessed with natural beauteousness. The trek downhill from the Zero Point to Loharkhet follows the same trekking route passing through villages and colourful meadows.

  • Day 1 Kathgodam to Loharkhet via Almora (240 kms, 7-8 hrs)
    We pick you up early in the morning from Kathgodam Railway station and drive from Kathgodam to Bageshwar via almora.Bageshwar is situated at the confluence of river Saryu, Gomati. Explore Bageshwar& Drive for Loharkhet.Overnight in Loharkhet.
  • Day 2 Bageshwer to Kharkiya & trek to Khati village via Kharkiya (60 km, 5 km. Trek) (2210mtr.)
    We drive from Bageshwer to Kharkiya around 60km. Kharkiya is the last village on the road head. There are a few local dhabas here and you will find basic items for purchase. Trek from kharkiya to Khati village is around 5km. Khati is the largest and last village on the Kafni and Pindari Glacier trek. Khati village is situated on the banks of Pinder River at an altitude of 2210m. Enjoy your stay in Khati Village by interacting with villagers and visiting the Khati Village temple.
  • Day 3 Khati to Dwali (12 km.) ( 2,575mtr.)
    We start the trek with a good breakfast in Khati Village. Today’s trek is long but its easy one. The trek from Khati Village to Dwali is picturesque and full of natural beauty. Today's trek goes along with Pindar River with two wooden bridges to cross. The trail passes through thick forest of Rhododendrons. Overnight stay at Dwali rest house / tents..
  • Day 4 Dwali to Phurkiya (5km.) (3,250m)
    The 5km trek from Dwali to Phurkia is steep and graded at moderate level. Cross the frozen stream and see the dwindling of forest as you climb. Phurkiya is the last place en route Pindari. There is beautiful waterfall just before Phurkia where you can rest for a while. Phurkia is a picturesque place blessed with natural beauteousness. Overnight stay at Phurkiya rest house / tent.
  • Day 5 trek from Phurkiya to zero point and back to Phurkiya (14km.)
    Trek from Phurkia to Zero Point of Pindari Glacier is visually captivating as it offers spectacular view of the mighty Himalayan range. Start early if you want to spend more time at the Zero Point. The mouth of the Pindari Glacier is named as Zero Point and it situated at an astounding elevation of 3,660mts above sea level. One kilometre before the Zero Point you will see a Baba ji’s house who serves tea to the people who makes it upto there. Trekking further from Zero Point on Pindari Glacier requires special equipments and experience. After exploring the beauty of Pindari Glacier trek back to Phurkia. Overnight stay in Phurkia.
  • Day 6 Phurkiya to Khati (17km.)
    After successfully reaching Pindari Glacier, it is time to head back. Take the trail back to Khati via Dwali. The descent from Phurkiya to Dwali can be done swiftly in 1 – 2 hours. From Dwali to Khati, follow the same route, It takes around 4 – 5 hours to complete this stretch. Stay in Tents/Guest House
  • Day 7 Khati to Kharkiya and Kathgodam drive (5km. Trek , drive 240km. By cab
    Trek from Khati to Kharkiya and reach the road-head. Board pre-arranged jeeps for a drop to Bageshwar. Today Jeep will be waiting to drive you Kathgodam with treasured memories of the Pindari Glacier Trek. Start early in the morning if you plan on reaching Kathgodam by evening.

Trekking, Tour and adventure actives in Himalayan region carry an inherent risk to life and goods. The natural calamities may cause injury and loss of life, which is beyond any control. Himalayas Adventure does its best to minimize all types of risks, discomfort and hazard to the best of their ability, yet there are chances of accidents, mishaps and deficiency in service.


  • Any delay from the customer’s side will lead to cancellation of trek/ tour/ adventure activities.
  • Trekking maybe cancelled due to some unavoidable circumstances i.e- weather condition, govt. notification, land sliding or any other natural calamity.
  • Himalayas Adventure reserves the right to discontinue, modify any trek, tour & adventure activities without assigning any reasons or without any prior intimation whatsoever.
  • Anybody found to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs medically or physically unfit (any serious ailment, weak heart conditions, epilepsy, asthma, expecting mothers etc.) unfit for any reasons in the wisdom of the trek leader/guide/instructor will not be allowed for trekking /tour/ adventure activities. Request for a refund or a discount in such situation will not be entertained. Decision of the trek lead/guide/management in this regard would be final.
  • Total decided package cost will not be affected if there is any reduction in the number of persons
  • Minimum required 50% of amount to get confirmed the trek/tour/adventure activities.

Cancellation Policy

  • If cancellations are made 30 days before the start date of the trip, 25% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • If cancellations are made 10-30 days before the start date of the trip, 50% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • If cancellations are made within 0-10 days before the start date of the trip, 75% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities may be cancelled and in such cases, we will try our best to provide an alternate feasible activity. However no refund will be provided for the same.

Refund Policy

The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days or can be adjusted in other trek or adventure activities.
